Sharath M. Gayakwad, the Programme Director of Zee Swim Academy has been one of the best Indian Paralympic swimmers. A competitive swimming coach for both able-bodied and Para swimmers, the self-made, eminent swimmer has strived to train swimmers to win medals for the country at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Certifications

• Level 1 and Level 2 ASCA Certified
• Certified on Advance Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Standard First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Level 1 ‘Learn to Swim’ & Water Safety Certified from KSA

Awards & Credentials

The talented swimmer has been a recipient of numerous awards since 2004. In 2015, he received the most prestigious Sports Award, the Arjuna Award from the President of India.

An Established Coach

As an established coach, Sharath Gayakwad has trained swimmers to win medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and has assisted in coaching & producing medalists at Commonwealth, Asian and International levels.

An Accomplished Swimmer

The first ever Indian to qualify for Paralympic Games, Sharath Gayakwad has been an extraordinary swimmer winning 61 medals at state and national championships and 41 international medals.
